Guru Rinpoche day Tsok streaming ✨ Patrick Gaffney teaches on the 100th Anniversary of Tertön Sogyal ✨

February 26th 6:00 pm - February 26th 8:30 pm CET

This day marks the 100th anniversary of Tertön Sogyal.

Patrick Gaffney will give a talk at the beginning of the Tsok streaming.
This time, the Tsok streaming is coming from the Tendrel Nyesel Drupchö Dharma Mati Berlin.

Creating Auspicious Circumstances — Tendrel Nyesel is a cycle of teachings and practices revealed by Tertön Sogyal. It is known for creating auspicious circumstances by eliminating, preventing and protecting against and transforming harm and conflict caused by misunderstanding and negative actions. It is one of the most powerful practices for bringing peace, harmony and stability to our sangha and to the world.

The event is open to all dharma students.

To do the Tendrel Nyesel sadhana, you need a Tendrel Nyesel or Guru Rinpoche empowerment.
In case you are missing any empowerment (e.g. Guru Rinpoche, Vajrakilaya), please focus during these parts on your own personal practice.

For Meditation Students and Beginning Ngöndro Students in the Rigpa Sangha

The Meaning of Tsok & How to Practise Tsok Simply
This booklet can be downloaded here from ZAM in 6 languages.

A Simple Tsok Practice - the prayers can be downloaded the text at the bottom of this page

Sogyal Rinpoche has outlined the following elements of the simplest and most essential way that tsok can be practised, especially for meditation students :

—A prayer of motivation

—The Seven Line Prayer, three, seven or twenty-one times

—The Long Invocation Mantra of Guru Rinpoche

—As many Vajra Guru Mantras as possible

—Rigdzin Jikmé Lingpa’s Short Tsok Prayer, three, seven or twenty-one times

—Prayers to Guru Rinpoche: ‘The Prayer to Guru Rinpoche for Removing Obstacles and Fulfilling Wishes’ and ‘The Prayer to Guru Rinpoche for Attainments’, and

— the dedication

For ngöndro students
Tsok can also be practised in the context of the ngöndro:

—Open the ngöndro practice as usual. If you are practising The Brief Dudjom Tersar Ngöndro, after the recitation of the Vajra Guru Mantra in the Guru Yoga section, simply recite Jikmé Lingpa’s Short Tsok Prayer, three, seven or twenty-one times, then ‘The Prayer to Guru Rinpoche for Removing Obstacles and Fulfilling Wishes’ and ‘The Prayer to Guru Rinpoche for Attainments’, and conclude the ngöndro practice as usual.

If you are practising The Longchen Nyingtik Ngöndro, recite these prayers after ‘The Prayer of Fulfilment’, before receiving the empowerment. Then conclude the ngöndro practice as usual.
